Kind + Jugend suspends for 2024 and starts with new energy in 2021
The next edition, Kind + Jugend 2021, will thus be held 16-19 September 2021.

In spite of strong registration figures for Kind + Jugend in spring 2024, the current developments around Covid-19 and the economic situation came to be increasingly reflected in this trade fair’s situation. In recent weeks, for example, more and more exhibitors have called their participation in Kind + Jugend 2024 into question. With #B-SAFE4business, the detailed package of measures for coronavirus-compliant implementation, Koelnmesse, in consultation with the authorities, laid the basis for organising trade fairs under coronavirus conditions. As the crisis wore on and accompanied with the economic situation, exhibitors and trade visitors began showing increasing hesitation. The latest news about new cases of infection in Germany played a role as well. The current travel situation is still uncertain, too – particularly at the intercontinental level.

That is why a large majority of exhibitors and visitors have decided in recent weeks not to attend Kind + Jugend. Koelnmesse thus reassessed the overall situation and decided that it was best to respond to the cancellations and wishes of a large number of industry exhibitors and trade visitors by not implementing Kind + Jugend 2024. The next edition, Kind + Jugend 2021, will thus be held 16-19 September 2021.
